ESG INITIATIVES
EcoVadis is the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings.
In our 2023 EcoVadis sustainability assessment, TEKenable received a “good” performance rating and we are now listed with a “Committed Badge”.
Our performance was assessed in four main areas:
- Ethics
- Sustainable Procurement
- Labour and Human Rights
- The Environment
TEKenable is positioning itself to achieve even higher sustainability ratings, such as the Bronze level, in our 2024 EcoVadis assessment.
As a first step towards the development of a sustainability and ESG strategy, TEKenable retained Blue Planet Consulting services.
We engaged BluePlanet Consulting to calculate our baseline in 2023, carbon footprint covering the company’s Scope 1 and 2 emissions (Transport and Buildings) and selected Scope 3 emissions (Business Travel, Employee Commuting, Water and Waste), to assess our sustainability & ESG policies and procedures and to work with us on these.
We have made the calculation for Ireland where the majority of our operations are based and will expand this to other locations in time. There is no reason to believe that other locations are materially better or worse than these outcomes.
TEKenable plans to complete a sustainability report with a strategy and goals by end of year 2024.
Digital4Sustainability, funded by The European Commission has selected TEKenable as a partner in the esteemed Digital4Sustainability project.
The primary objective of this initiative is to tackle the urgent and evolving skills requirements of the European industry in the crucial domains of digital and green transformation. As a partner, TEKenable will make use of its extensive experience to support the creation and implementation of training initiatives that will give organisations the digital and sustainability skills necessary to effect real change. The project will enable the upskilling of the current workforce through cooperative efforts with VET providers and higher education institutions, enabling them to flourish in the quickly changing digital landscape and implement tangible ESG initiatives that deliver tangible results.
Cloudforests’ mission is to create native forests along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way to combat climate change and promote sustainability.
As CoolPartner 058, TEKenable joins Cloudforests in this mission, demonstrating our dedication to environmental stewardship.
Through this partnership, TEKenable and Cloudforests partners will work together to achieve our shared goals of sustainability and climate action though volunteer opportunities, such as participating in tree planting or soil preparation events in urban and rural Cloudforest sites.
DE&I INITIATIVES
Diversity and Inclusion are crucial elements within TEKenable as it drives innovation, fosters creativity and enhances problem-solving due to the variety of perspectives.
Investing in and nurturing a diverse workforce has allowed us to build an inclusive workplace where our employees feel respected and valued.
Our senior leadership team represents a rich tapestry of global diversity, hailing from regions such as South Africa, Pakistan, India, and Brazil. Notably, women constitute a quarter of this team. We are steadfast in our commitment to investing in our global workforce, prioritising diversity across race, ethnicity, gender, and other characteristics.
It's exciting to see that in 2024 the number of women at TEKenable nearly doubled compared to last year, and all former junior-level roles had transitioned to mid-level positions.
All staff throughout the organisation are provided with D&I training to promote a respectful workplace. By focusing on employees rather than hiring short term contractors, we ensure that all team members feel valued and have the opportunity to thrive and contribute to our organisational goals. Our rigorous recruitment policies are designed to eliminate any form of discrimination.
Additionally, we celebrate significant events throughout the year, from International Women’s Day to Pride Month, reinforcing our dedication to an inclusive and supportive workplace.

Through this program, we support various charitable causes and engage in activities that benefit those in need.

Fundraising Events: We organise and participate in events like sponsored walks, hikes, and other activities to raise funds for charitable organisations.
Strategic Partnerships: We provide pro bono support to organisations like Ronald McDonald House Charities Ireland, offering our expertise in Salesforce and other technical developments to help them achieve their goals.
TEKenable has empowered over 330 entrepreneurs by providing microloans, fostering business growth and opening doors to new possibilities.
These loans span across 66 nations and 77 different industries, exemplifying TEKenable’s commitment to nurturing diverse aspirations and needs worldwide. It’s a remarkable initiative that underscores our global support and impact.
TEKenable partook 100 Miles in a Month Challenge to support patient care at Mater Hospital.
Our significant contributions collected by staff and additional donations by the company directly aided Mater Hospital’s initiative to expand ICU beds, a critical response to the Covid-19 pandemic, aiming to relieve the existing ICU which currently has 18 beds. It’s a testament to TEKenable’s commitment to healthcare support and community involvement.
TEKenable has run internal fundraisers for Crumlin Children’s Hospital.
This was part of a broader effort that also included participation in fundraisers for Cancer Research and the Mater Hospital Foundation.
Every year TEKenable’s “Spoke Patrol” partake in the Ronald McDonald House Charities cycle race.
This past year the money raised was for the building of their new 52-bedroom house project which requires substantial funding. All support has a profound impact on enabling them to provide a home away from home for families during challenging times.
For the last circa 3 years Tether (a TEKenable Group Company) has worked with RMHC Ireland as a strategic partner and offer a zero value support contract to them. This equates to 1% of their manpower donated for a year.
It is typically given in the form of a support contract; as a total of 144 hours per year of support, 12 hours of support per month and support on all related issues.
In addition, they sponsor a team at the RMHC annual golf event, and if possible two teams. They also support by running charity events such as: Sponsored Walks / Hikes (The proclaimers challenge saw the team walk 1000 miles for RMHC Ireland) and VTO days with Salesforce. Tether along with members of the Salesforce Sales Team give their time to: Paint rooms, Cook meals for families and Bucket collections, etc.
