TEKenable, a leading Dublin based software development company, has today announced its continued expansion through the opening of a dedicated Cloud Computing Centre of Excellence in it’s corporate head office in Dublin. The Cloud Centre of Excellence is the first of its kind in the Irish marketplace and is focussing initially on supporting Windows Azure as the primary cloud development platform. The new centre of excellence will create twenty high quality roles over the next twelve months with a focus on business analysis, project management, software development and support. TEKenable has made a policy of only hiring highly skilled and experienced technical people in the areas of Windows Azure, Java and .Net. The centre of excellence is recruiting technical talent from abroad too – with people coming from all over the world to be part of this team. Speaking at the official opening of the new centre, Peter Rose, Director of TEKenable said, “TEKenable’s business continues to go from strength to strength. With staff numbers at 40, we are now a significant player in cloud development services in the Irish market and in some international markets. Our ongoing expansion, including the introduction of the Cloud Centre of Excellence, further enhances our ability to deliver the highest quality of software development services and solutions to our clients and to tailor our offerings to match their evolving business needs and requirements”. "We are extremely excited about our new venture and see huge opportunities to provide strong services to clients seeking major reductions in IT costs and risks", said Nick Connors, MD of TEKenable. He continued, “We have already completed some very exciting new projects entirely using the cloud platform and the interest from both the public and private sectors in Ireland is very strong. Our focus on partnering with leading vendors like Microsoft, Sungard and Eircom, along with our commitment to employing the best people to service our customers has been very successful and we feel confident there will be further strong growth for TEKenable over the next year”.
